Sohnelm blend the crushing intensity of High on Fire, the mid-tempo aggression of early Metallica, and the sonic weight of Windhand with other moments of influence from bands like Baroness, Melvins, Darkthrone & Thin Lizzy in a way that's as ugly as it is melodic. Comprising members of Azreal, Lomera, Sumeru and more, the band collectively and individually honed their craft in the shadows of Australia’s East Coast underground music scene. Their music is a concoction of thunderous riffs, soaring guitar leads, and gravel-toned lyrics that weave tales of dark realms and mystical journeys. Lyrically the band draws inspiration from early horror films, mythology and the occult, adding an uneasy layer of depth to their music. They invite listener to embark on a journey through the recesses of their collective imagination. Sohnelm stands as a testament to the enduring power of heavy music.
