WAGNER ÖDEGÅRD "PANVATN" LP
The winds of woe weep for Wagner Ödegård @brugmanziah and the ancient leylines of phantom folk long since spent by the deities they once worshipped, as the weary sound of his strings span ambient folkloric despair over the ages. The mortuary masterwork of Magnus Eriksson, infamous for his work with Wulkanaz and Tomhet, Wagner Ödegård was once a purely ambient entity, drawing out lonely soundscapes of analogue dissonance and proto-germanic phantoms, but has since evolved into a raw eccentric black metal force of experimental sincerity and kosmic terror. Caught between the manic throes of the here and there, the nowhere and nothing, Panvatn is a black metal grimoire of curiously arcane alchemical fusion of Wagner Ödegård’s trademark raw black punk stompings and dungeon chiptune synth ambient nightmares. A six sided spell incantation that never once leaves those experiencing lamenting with ennui; for with each twist and turn of rasping oration, eerie folk festival synth sacrifice, power chord putridity, emaciated ossuary percussion, and wyrd ritualistic intent to absorb perception and send it leering across valleys of primordial blood worship. Panvatn is a tome that no contemporary shaman should be without, one that splinters the soul into scattered pieces of archaic augury. Vinyl available on both silver and black vinyl, comes with Japanese style tip-on jacket, OBI and 12”x12” insert.
